Introduction

ASSMANG Pty Ltd requires the services of a Learnership Engineering 18.2 at their Black Rock Mine Operations situated 80km North-West of Kuruman in the Northern Cape. The closing date for applications will be Wednesday, 7 December 2022.

Minimum requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Certificate: Grade 12 (Maths and Science) (Required)
  • Certificate N2 / N3 Engineering Studies (Required)
  • Valid Code B / EB drivers licence (Required)
  • Should obtain Dover B Symbol (Required)
  • Should pass the Technical Test Battery Assessment (Required
  • English Literacy (Required)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)

LEARNERSHIP (APPRENTICESHIP):

Fitter:
  • N2 with the following subjects:
  • Mathematics (not Mathematics literacy)
  • Engineering Science
  • Fitting and Machining Trade Theory
  • Engineering Drawing

Diesel Mechanic:
  • N2 with the following subjects:
  • Mathematics (Not Mathematics Literacy);
  • Engineering Science
  • Engineering Drawing
  • Diesel Trade Theory

Electrician:
  • N2 with the following subjects:
  • Mathematics (Not Mathematics Literacy)
  • Engineering Science
  • Industrial Electronics
  • Electrical Trade Theory

Auto-Electrician:
  • N2 with the following subjects:
  • Mathematics (Not Mathematics Literacy)
  • Engineering Science
  • Engineering Drawing
  • Electrical Trade Theory; Motor Electrical Theory

Boilermaker:
  • N2 with the following subjects:
  • Mathematics (not Mathematics literacy)
  • Engineering Science
  • Plating and Structural Drawing
  • Platers Trade Theory

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The candidate will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.

Remuneration will be based on a competitive all-inclusive flexible package.
