MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Certificate: Grade 12
• Degree: Bachelor of Commerce Human
Resources ( (NQF Level 7)
• Certificate: Advanced Labour Law (Required) (NQF Level 6)
• Masters of Laws with specialisation in Labour Law (Alternative) (NQF Level 9)
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
• 10 Years’ Employee Relations, IR practices and support services in a unionised environment.
• 2 Years’ Management experience.
• SABPP Registration.
• Valid Driver’s Code B/EB.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Implement compliance requirements.
• Communicate compliance changes.
• Provide strategic input into operational planning and ensure implementation in own area of responsibility.
• Manage the efficient and effective utilisation of resources.
• Optimise systems and processes continuously to ensure production efficiency targets and operational plans are met.
• Provide an advisory service to management on procedures and legislation in respect of Employee Relations matters to prevent potential risk exposure.
• Provide advice regarding the application of grievance, disciplinary, arbitration, strike, disciplinary, conciliations, bargaining procedures.
• Conduct and assume responsibility for collective bargaining and dispute management. Implement and administer collective agreements.
• Manage the implementation and application of disciplinary and grievance procedures and policies. Implement and maintain the ER administration system (ER Navigator).
• Review, update and maintain all labour related policies and procedures ensuring enforcement and adherence of these policies and procedures. Monitor, review and suggest interventions to optimise collective agreements.
• Manage dispute resolutions at CCMA level. Act as company representative during dispute resolutions. Facilitate and conduct negotiations and / or consultations with the framework of mine and group policy (i.e. retrenchments, wage negotiations etc.). Ensure contractor / service providers adhere to legislation and agreements.
• Develop ER related training materials and programs and facilitate the programs.
• Monitor internal labour relations trends and submit reports to stakeholders including recommendations on remedial actions.
- • Develop, implement and manage the employee relations strategy within the operation.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The candidate will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
Remuneration will be based on a competitive all inclusive flexible package.
