Position Summary
Introduction
To perform mining activities required for rock breaking underground hard rock operations in order to achieve production targets and quality according to mine standards and procedures.

• Daily and In-Shift Planning of Mining Activities to Execute Production Targets
• Participation in execution of Production daily planning. Execute changes in daily production plan.
• Conduct Entry Examination, Making Safe and Face Preparation for Drill and Blast Mining Activities
• Take Lead of Support; Drilling and Charging & Blasting Operations
• Identify constraints and deviations from the plan and issue new instructions if required
• Record and Compute Information for Planning; Reporting and Handover.
• Participate in implementation of change initiatives and Improvement Initiatives
• Participate in improvement initiatives.
• Comply with quality standards during production execution
• Organise and allocate available resources for Mining Activities
• Exercise Explosive Control in section during Charging and Blasting
• Communication of Information and Instruction
• Contribute to team performance.
• Rule compliance.
• Uphold Team relationships and conflict resolution in line with the Organisation Values.
• Minimise waste and save costs.

Minimum requirements
• Blasting Certificate / MQA Rock Breaking Certificate (issued 1 Jul 2009 – 31 May 2017).
• Certificate: First Aid Level 1 (Advantageous)
• Valid Code B/EB Driver’s License.
• Dover B Symbol.
