Senior Engineer Production
Position Summary
Introduction
Manage and coordinate the engineering activities of underground plant, infrastructure and mobile machinery of all 3 shafts in accordance with legislation. Ensure effective processes, principles and best practices are implemented.
Job description
• Integration and alignment of change initiatives through change management process
• Business intelligence and perform trend analyses to achieve best control systems and practices
• Implement operations effectiveness model and practice
• Plan, direct and assess quality management within function and implement improvement strategies to ensure adherence to TQM principles
• Lead engineering contractor management process in all underground sections
• Lead engineering functions within your legal appointment in providing effective maintenance management for operational equipment and infrastructure
• Optimize the function’s core internal processes and internal supply chain and resolve functional operating conflicts
• Lead continuous improvement projects and change management initiatives to enhance maintenance effectiveness and equipment reliability
• Provide technical expertise and support to production and maintenance teams while facilitating problem-solving and optimization efforts
• Drive maintenance readiness through systematic planning, resource optimization, and implementation of preparation standards to ensure execution of excellence
• Develop clear accountability for maintenance spend combined with a strategy to manage expenditure
• Management of internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Implement and manage people development initiatives to meet functional performance standards
Minimum requirements
• Bachelor of Science Engineering/ B.Tech Engineering (Required)
• National Diploma: N6 / S4 / T4 (Alternative)
• Certificate: GCC (Mines and Works) Engineering (Required)
• Management Development Programme (Recommended/ Desirable)
• Project Management Diploma / Degree (Recommended/ Desirable)
• Valid code B/EB driver’s license
• Experience in underground mechanized mining operation
