Introduction

Supervision and execution of both stockpile and vessel management at the ports.

Job description

•    Supervise the plan and execute all port logistics operations from rail offloading, stockpile management and the lading of a vessel safely and efficient. 
•    Coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to ensure seamless cargo flow.
•    Monitor compliance with safety, including the OSH Act 16(2) and all Service Level Agreements. 
•    Capture and verify logistics data and assist in compiling accurate stock and other reports.
•    Drive continuous improvement and participate in planning and change initiatives by conducting task observations at the port to ensure compliance.
•    Foster strong team relationships and uphold discipline and performance standards.
•    Adhere to all disciplinary guidelines and behaviour protocols to maintain a respectful and compliant environment.
•    Port Budget planning, execution and compliance.
•    Collaborate effectively and contribute to achieving collective goals through consistent performance and support.
•    Support transformation efforts and offer constructive feedback to overcome resistance

Minimum requirements

•    Grade 12 (Required). 
•    Diploma: Logistics (required) NQF Level 6 (Required)
•    National Diploma: Shipping NQF level 6 (Alternative)
•    Valid Code B Driver’s license
•    Minimum of  3- 5 years experience in Port processes or Transnet environment.
