Fitter Shaft & Winders
Position Summary
Introduction
Prepare, maintain and operate production equipment. Maintain and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems and equipment. Conduct daily and weekly inspection on Winders as per MHSA and regulations
Job description
· Complete daily inspection checklists for tools, equipment and work areas. Report problems and make recommendations to Supervisors.
· Conduct fitting work which supports maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and installations of mechanical equipment per work orders and breakdown work orders. Consider direct environment risks.
· Assist Conduct fitting work which supports maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and installations of mechanical equipment per work orders and breakdown work orders.
Minimum requirements
· Certificate: Grade 12 / N3
· Certificate: Trade Test - Fitter
· Relevant winder and ropes training
· 3 Years’ post apprenticeship Fitter in heavy industrial, mining environment and experience in Winders as Fitter within mining environment
· Valid Driver’s License Code B / EB
· Should obtain Dover “B” symbol
