Senior Instrumentation Technician
Position Summary
Introduction
ASSMANG Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and dedicated individuals who would like to be part of this exciting mine and who would like to make use of this unique opportunity to grow and develop within the company to apply for the position at our Black Rock Mine Operations, situated 80km North-West of Kuruman in the Northern Cape. To plan, execute and manage the coordination of the delivery of instrumentation services to all BRMO operations.
Job description
• Promote and assure adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures.
• Interpret the approved operational plans.
• Resolve problems as they are encountered to ensure achievement against plan.
• Ensure operational plan is implemented.
• Coordinate operations and activities of the engineering function within area of control and report any deviations to the Engineer Instrumentation.
• Coordinate the execution of the process control processes and activities.
• Analyse processes and asset performance trends against targets.
• Optimise the BRMO mining operations, processes and systems.
• Ensure to coordinate and supervise the Instrumentation technicians, mechanicians and semi- skilled workers and ensure workers are legally complied with BRMO standards.
• Implement compliance requirements.
• Provide input into budget planning process where required.
• Provide relevant support to applicable stakeholders to ensure achievement of objectives.
• Ensure own and sub-ordinates' IDPs are agreed and implemented. Coach team and create a pro-learning environment.
• Participate in people development initiatives such as performance management, succession planning, talent management etc.
• Lead the team to sustainable and high levels of performance through planning, scheduling and supervision of activities within a process or service.
• Assure stable employee relations by managing conflict and creating a positive working environment.
Minimum requirements
• National Diploma N6 or S4 or T3.
• Trade Certificate: Mechanician.
• Certificate: Wonderware System Platform (Advantageous)
• Certificate: Schneider Unity PLC (Advantageous)
• Valid Drivers License Code B/EB.
• Dover B Symbol.
• 2 Years Supervisory Experience.
