ASSMANG Pty Ltd requires the services of Senior Instrumentation Technician at their Black Rock Mine Operations situated 80km North-West of Kuruman in the Northern Cape. The closing date for applications is Monday, 16 September 2024.

Minimum requirements
- Certificate: Grade 12. (Required)
- National Diploma N6 / S4 or T3. (Required)
- Certificate: Trade Test Artisan (Mechanician) (Required)
- Certficate: WonderWare system platform. (Required)
- Certficate: Schneider Unity PLC. (Required)
- Valid Drivers Licence Code B / EB. (Required)
- Dover B Symbol.
- 4 Years’ Engineering Instrumentation, maintenance operations in a process plant automated environment within mining sector.
- 2 Years’ Supervisory Experience.
- Micro Office and WonderWare system platform.
- Assist with the implementation of sub-functional change management to drive transformation and optimisation.
- Drawing from own experience or vocational knowledge, identify and recommend initiatives aimed at eliminating waste, improved productivity and reduce operating costs within scope.
- Identify recurring problems and derive creative solutions involving team members. Recognise and reward team member efforts.
- Control and assess Quality Management within scope of work to ensure standard adherences.
- Promote and assure adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures. Identify unsafe and hazardous situations.
- Diagnose incidents and accidents by completing root cause analyses and take corrective action. Conduct risk assessments. Stop work in unsafe areas.
- Implement compliance requirements. Communicate compliance changes.
- Provide input into sub-functional planning. Plan team activities.
- Interpret the approved operational plans. Determine how resources and processes must be utilised / applied to achieve the objectives.
- Mobilise resources to ensure achievement of production targets and objectives.
- Resolve problems as they are encountered to ensure achievement against plan.
- Ensure operational plan is implemented.
- Coordinate operations and activities of the engineering function within area of control and report any deviations to the Engineer Instrumentation.
- Coordinate the execution of the process control processes and activities.
- Analyse processes and asset performance trends against targets. Optimise the BRMO mining operations, processes and systems.
- Ensure to coordinate and supervise the Instrumentation technicians, mechanicians and semi- skilled workers and ensure workers are legally complied with BRMO standards.
- Implement compliance requirements. Communicate compliance changes.
