Manager Business Improvement
Position Summary
Introduction
Leading the business improvement team (Improvement, Innovation, Intelligence, insights and information) including IT section, in implementing inspiring, innovative and creative business solutions that sustainably contribute to the BRMO vision; which include identifying opportunities, evaluating business processes, translating business requirements into system requirements, developing and implementing solutions, training employees, monitoring new processes and providing ongoing support
Job description
• Plan, implement, control and monitor approved changes to area of responsibility to respond to changes in the industry, legislation, and other related matters including transformation and optimisation.
• Obtain, check and refine information, through the IROC centre. Ensure the Collation of key operational reports, as well as having effective systems in place to provide efficient business reporting. Run data exception reports and take corrective action. Conduct document control spot-checks.
• Identify recurring problems and derive creative solutions involving team members. Recognise and reward team member efforts. Drive a high values based performance culture, through key initiatives that enhance team work.
• Implement compliance requirements. Communicate compliance changes.
• Plan, direct and assess Quality Management within sub-function and recommend remedial actions where necessary to ensure adherence to TQM principles.
• Provide input into functional planning. Interpret functional plan and develop sub-functional plans.
• Ensure operational plan is implemented.
• Manage the efficient and effective utilisation of resources.
• Optimise systems and processes continuously to ensure production efficiency targets and operational plans are met
• Optimise the core operational internal processes and internal supply chain and resolve operational conflicts.
• Work with key stakeholders to drive process improvements that quantitatively and qualitatively improve costs, quality and service.
• Train and educate the organization about continuous improvement methodologies and implement them.
• Work with managers in identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities.
• Direct the management of prioritized portfolio of improvement ideas – sign off on all ideas from implementation through to sustainability.
• Test improvement ideas for value and ease.
• Provide oversight for the implementation of improvement ideas and challenges improvement team’s
Minimum requirements
• Bachelor degree: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Recommended / Advantageous)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Recommended)
• 3 Years’ Managerial Experience
