MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Certificate: Grade 12
· Bachelor’s degree: Safety Management / Risk Management / Environmental Science / Quality Management (Required)
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
· 10 Years’ SHERQ Management / Risk Management / Environmental Management experience
· 5 Years’ Supervisory experience
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Computer literate (Microsoft Office,
· System skills (JDE, Oracle & SHERQ Systems)
· Manage the efficient and effective utilisation of resources. Optimise systems and processes continuously to ensure production efficiency targets and operational plans are met.
· Optimise the core operational internal processes and internal supply chain and resolve operational conflicts.
· Manage Health and Safety Committee and ensure implementation and continuous monitoring of corrective and preventive actions and improvements. Provide reports to relevant external governing bodies.
· Provide input into functional planning. Interpret functional plan and develop sub-functional plans.
· Plan, direct and assess Quality Management within sub-function and recommend remedial actions where necessary to ensure adherence to TQM principles.
· Ensure operational plan is implemented.
· Identify recurring problems and derive creative solutions involving team members. Recognise and reward team member efforts.
· Implement compliance requirements. Communicate compliance changes.
· Develop, review and submit the Operation’s risk strategy for inclusion in overall SHERQ strategy. Evaluate reported risk types and refer to respective specialist for action and influence implementation of remedial actions.
· Review and approve all operational procedures as control mechanisms to identified risks. Assist in developing, implementation and maintenance of process maps.
· Participate in various audits as team member, as and when required. Assist team in identifying risks and recommend corrective actions.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The candidate will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
Remuneration will be based on a competitive all-inclusive flexible package.
