Job description

MAIN TASK AND RESPONSIBILITY
Assume overall accountability for the total HR function. Optimise, attract, retain and develop human potential. Formulate the HR strategy and HR related business risk counter strategies. Ensure effective change management processes and principles are implemented across the Operation.

Minimum requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Certificate: Grade 12 (Required)
· Bachelor Degree Human Resources (Required)
· Honours Degree Human Resources (Recommended)

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
· 10 Years’ Generalist Human Resources experience
· 5 Years’ Team and Functional Management of Main Functions.
· Professional Status: SABPP Registration

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Computer Literate (Microsoft Office Advanced)
· Ensure the coordination of quality, effective, easily accessible, and consistent one-stop transactional HR services and advise to line management and employees;
· Ensure Compliance with all HR related legislation (i.e., BCEA; EEA; LRA; MPRDA, etc);
· Develop and implement policies, procedures and documentation in accordance with group protocols;
· Ensure development and implementation of Human Resource Development strategy to support people development and compliance with the relevant legislation;
·  Implement HR related safety initiatives inclusive of Employee Wellness Programme;
· Ensure implementation of a reputable workforce planning system to ensure accurate labour compliment planning;
· Oversee Recruitment Process and align to Skills Development Plan; Succession Planning, Employment Equity compliance and any other relevant legislation;
· Develop an organisational strategy for Talent Management;
· Ensure accuracy of HR information system;
·  Review and approve data integrity on the systems prior to reporting periods;
·  Ensure compilation and submission of all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to Line and Senior Management, Corporate Office, DMRE, DoEL and other internal/external agencies within defined deadlines;
· Manage absence processes and practices, develop corrective and preventive actions to prevent future occurrences;
· Manage incapacity, employee relations according to the Labour Relations Act;
· Coordinate related internal and external audits; ·
· Provide Management with reports on findings following all investigations / audits conducted;
· Ensure effective communication with the workforce and all stakeholders;
· Review and approve all HR operational procedures as control mechanisms to identified risks.
· Ensure OHSAS 9001:2015 (Quality Management System ) accreditation for training;
· Establish and maintain legislated HR Related committees (i.e. Skills Development Committee; Employment Equity Committee; Future Forum; etc);
·  Effective budgetary management and cost control;
· Ensure effective and consistent implementation of HR Policies and Procedures throughout the operation;
· Responsible for wage negotiation process and establishing a conducive relationship with organised labour.
 
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The candidate will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
Remuneration will be based on a competitive all-inclusive flexible package.
