•    Provide geological input into mine planning at shaft level.
•    Geological support to production achieves production targets. 
•    Actively participate in sampling, mining and loading product quality control initiatives at the shaft to achieve quality tons.
•    Ensure relevant operational plan is implemented.
•    Promote and assure adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures.
•    Update geological and sampling database on a continuous basis. 
•    Underground mapping and maintenance of such data.
•    Support to mining - maps, interpretations, timeous and accurate reports, etc.
•    Provide input into mine planning process.
•    Provide input into resource modelling processes.
•    Assist in supervision of underground sampling service.
•    Assist with exploration work when required. 
•    Participation in fall of ground incidents investigations.
•    Ad hoc and continuous improvement work.
•    Identify recurring problems and derive creative solutions.
•    Participate in the implementation of compliance requirements. Communicate compliance changes.
•    Obtain, check and refine data and/or information. Collate and submit reports.
•    Manage the efficient and effective utilisation of resources. Optimise systems and processes continuously to ensure production efficiency targets and operational plans are met.
•    Provide input into functional mine planning. Interpret functional plan and develop sub-functional plans that customers can use.
•    Participate and give input to the quality management within sub-function and recommend remedial actions where necessary to ensure adherence to TQM principles.
•    Implement and monitor approved changes to area of responsibility to respond to changes in the industry, legislation, and other related matters including transformation and optimisation.  Assist with workplace readiness assessment.

•    Grade 12.
•    Bachelor of Science Honours Geology.
•    Valid Driver’s Licence Code B / EB.

•    2 Years Geologist Experience.
