Introduction

ASSMANG Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and dedicated individual who would like to be part of this exciting mine and who would like to make use of this unique opportunity to grow and develop within the company to apply for the position at our Black Rock Mine Operations in Gqeberha. Support stockpile management and compliance at the port and ensure vessel documentation meets the standards of all relevant stakeholders. Relieve the Officer Port Logistics as required, assuming Section 16.2 responsibility in the absence of the Officer Port Logistics for the duration of the relief period.

Job description

•    Participate in change initiatives and provide feedback on resistance.
•    Comply with disciplinary and behavioural rules and procedures.
•    Contribute to team performance.
•    Obtain and validate operational information, ensure accurate data capture, and maintain document filing in accordance with established procedures.
•    Assist with the schedule and execution of the offloading activities, including the liaison between upstream and downstream processes teams.
•    Support the compilation of accurate stock and logistics reporting, ensuring source data is verified and reconciled.Participate in the port planning process and execute agreed plans in accordance with operational standards.
•    Propose ideas or practical improvements relevant to tasks. Participate in improvement initiatives.
•    Ensure compliance with SAMSA statutory requirements for solid bulk cargo shipments
•    Comply with work rules, policy and standards.,
•    Maintain open, effective working relationships with team members and colleagues, ensuring information is shared timeously and accurately.

Minimum requirements

•    Grade 12.
•    Diploma: Logistics or National Diploma: Transportation Management (NQF Level 6).
•    Valid Driver’s Licence Code B.
•    3 Years Port Processes Experience in the Mining and Transnet Environment.
