Position Summary
Introduction
Ensure equipment availability and reliability through application of maintenance management systems and resources to achieve production targets. Monitor progress and evaluate the results of jobs.
Job description
- Computer literacy - Microsoft Office, JDE, Qlikview, Oracle
- Implement team operational plans to ensure defined objectives are met through supporting and being supported by, other teams within and linked to department.
- Supervise and inspect subordinates daily activities, offer coaching and on the job training to ensure maintenance according to organizational standards.
- Coordinate maintenance as well as statutory inspections and audits by internal and external service providers.
- Ensure the execution of scheduled and non-scheduled mechanical repairs, inspections and installation work as required.
- Obtain information, check for accuracy and capture data. File documents per procedure.
- Propose ideas or practical improvements relevant to tasks. Participate in improvement initiatives and lead group discussions to solve problems.
- Comply with disciplinary and behavioral rules and procedures.
- Comply with safety, health and environmental standards. Identify and report unsafe and hazardous situations in work area. Conduct safety meetings. Enforce team adherence to standards.
- Comply with Quality standards and deliver in a manner that support and meet operational quality standards.
- Manage team performance. Resolve conflict.
- Participate in planning process for section. Execute plans within standard.
- Participate in change initiatives and provide feedback on resistance.
Minimum requirements
Certificate: Grade 12 (Required)
Certificate: Trade Test Artisan - Mechanic (Required)
Certificate: N3 Engineering Studies (Required)
Driver’s license: Code B/EB (Required)
Dover B symbol (Required)
3 Years relevant post qualification experience in a mining environment
3 Year supervisory experience
