Introduction

ASSMANG Pty Ltd requires the services of Interns at their Black Rock Mine Operations situated 80km North-West of Kuruman in the Northern Cape. The internship programme is part of an initiative to address Assmang`s critical and scarce skills, as well as to provide a hands-on workplace structured graduate development Programme (GDP) for unemployed youth. The programme intends to develop emerging labour entrants with skills and experience to function in a working environment. Applications are invited from unemployed and suitably qualified graduates who are not currently on an internship programme and meet the under-listed criteria. The closing date for applications will be Wednesday, 17 May 2023.

Minimum requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (Essential unless otherwise indicated)
  • Applicant must be living with a disability.
  • Certificate: Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Bachelors degree or National Diploma.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
  • South African Citizen.
  • Currently unemployed.
  • Aged between 18 and 35.
  • No active criminal record.

AS PART OF THE APPLICATION:
  • An updated CV.
  • Proof of qualification obtained.
  • Certified copy of South African ID.
  • Medical certificate confirming disability.
  • Proof of residential address.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Shortlisted candidates will undergo an interviews and psychometric evaluation and medical assessment as per the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996
  • Contractual obligations will be communicated upon appointment.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The candidate will be appointed on the condition of being certified medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.

Remuneration will be based on a competitive all inclusive flexible package.
