Introduction

ASSMANG Pty Ltd requires the services of a Foreman Electrician their Black Rock Mine Operations situated 80km North-West of Kuruman in the Northern Cape.

Job description

MAIN TASK AND RESPONSIBILITY
Coordinate all electrical maintenance and installation work on surface / underground. Oversee the installations, modifications and tests of electrical equipment and wiring.
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Computer literate (Microsoft Office) Qlickview, Oracle, JDE
Ensure to generate orders with regards to any breakdowns or maintenance reported. 
Ensure planning on job cards are executed daily with regards with weekly maintenance planning. 
Ensure to get a schedule of all maintenance on a daily basis. 
Coordinate inspection checklists for tools, equipment and work areas. 
Report problems and make recommendations to GES. 
Perform asset care activities as required to EAMS system including accurate and timeous feedback and documentation to all stakeholders. 
Obtain information, check for accuracy and capture data. File documents per procedure
Comply with disciplinary and behavioural rules and procedures. 
Comply with safety, health and environmental standards.
Identify and report unsafe and hazardous situations in work area. Participate in safety meetings.
Propose ideas or practical improvements relevant to tasks. 
Participate in improvement initiatives

Minimum requirements

Certificate: Grade 12 
Certificate: N4 Engineering Studies
Certificate: Trade Test Electrician
Valid Driver's License: Code B / EB
Should obtain  Dover “B” symbol
 
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS 
3 Years’ Post apprenticeship Electrician in heavy industrial, mining or plant environment
3 Years Supervisory experience
