Introduction

ASSMANG Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and dedicated individuals who would like to be part of this exciting mine and who would like to make use of this unique opportunity to grow and develop within the company to apply for the position at our Black Rock Mine Operations, situated 80km North-West of Kuruman in the Northern Cape. To manage and optimise the Contractor management administration system effectively and efficiently, to ensure business and management demands regarding the utilization, legal compliance, availability, internal auditing and information requirements are always met at all times.

Job description

•    Manage and maintain the Contractor's current filing system according to the auditor's best practice to ensure information is available and reliable when needed.
•    Manage Contractor Labour to ensure that they comply with legal and other requirements concerning sourcing, qualifications, skills, experience, accommodation, and commuting.
•    Manage and maintain the Contractor HR function to ensure that employee information and files are always up to date.
•    Manage and maintain contractor audits (BCE, LRA, MHSA, BBBEE, OHSA, etc.) regularly, implement corrections, and recommend remedial actions where necessary.
•    Compile meaningful reports and distribute to the stakeholders to aid strategic decision-making by Heads of Departments.
•    Review and optimise reporting to ensure customer satisfaction and strategic benefit.
•    Compile and maintain Contractor HR scorecard in line with industry best practice and recommend enhancements where applicable.
•    Provide the best practise which ensure adherence to statutory safety regulations, standards, procedures, and practises.
•    Ensure, as far as reasonably possible, that all Contractors adhere to the business and legislative requirements to prevent the business from being issued a Section 54.
•    Manage and lead the Safety of Contractors Service providers team in order to develop a high-performance culture, regulate the safety of the contractor (service providers) workplace, ensuring Contractor/Service providers' Health and Safety awareness.
•    Advice on Contractors/Service providers SHE problems/concerns/challenges or obtaining advice on unfamiliar problems from the SHERQ department or other sources.
•    Protect ORACLE, FIREFLY, Passport 360, and ClickView System
•    Reporting against data contamination, which will result in non-legislative and unreliable reporting, incorrect decision-making, and loss of data integrity.
•    Protect the Company against non-legitimate reporting to DMRE, DoL and stakeholders.
•    Manage the Access control function of BRMO for Contractors, to ensure that the Mine and Contractor business assets, Contractor employees, and intellectual property are secure.

Minimum requirements

•    Grade 12.
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management.
•    Certificate: Total Quality Management.
•    Driver's Licence Code B.
•    5 Years Contractor Management or Legal Compliance Experience in a Mining Environment.
•    3 Years Management Experience.
