Introduction

ASSMANG Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and dedicated individuals who would like to be part of this exciting mine and who would like to make use of this unique opportunity to grow and develop within the company to apply for the position at our Black Rock Mine Operations, situated 80km North-West of Kuruman in the Northern Cape. Oversee the financial activities of BRMO including but not limited to the following: To ensure that a corporate governance, best practices, and compliance with International Financial Reporting standards.

Job description

•     Key input for compiling the Finance strategy.
•    Key information provider for decision making and monitoring of the implementation of the Finance strategy.
•    Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
•    Comply with legislation 
•    Align with the broader strategy and business plan
•    Compliance to legislation
•    Ensure compliance on IFRS and Tax legislation (INCOME TAX, VAT, PAYE and Royalty Act).
•    Implementation, reviewing and maintaining of commercial terms on the Mine in terms of off-take agreements.
•    Maintaining according to legislation and best practices
•    Manage monthly, quarterly and annual reviews to ensure a healthy control environment is maintained in terms of debtors, creditors, cashbook, general ledger, payroll, time and attendance, operating and QTR reports and the 5-year plan.
•    Oversee reporting to external customers monthly on income statements, balance sheets and cash flow.
•    Oversee financial reports in compliance with industry legislation and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and regulatory guidelines.
•    Oversee the preparation and interpret monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and reports.
•    Oversee compilation of Annual financial pack reports (Assmang IFRS pack and Tax packs) for Black Rock Mine Operations.
•    Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction, business improvement, whistle blowers etc.
•    Monitor cash flow statements.
•    Predict future trends and prepare cash flow forecasts.
•    Regular cash flow forecasts to senior management team 
•    Management in the improvement thereof.
•    Manage suppliers and service providers to ensure effective service delivery, compliance with contractual obligations, and achievement of business objectives. 
•    Ensure that mechanisms to reduce risk to the business are implemented that ensure all legislative, accreditation and governance requirements are met.
•    Ensure business plan is implemented in a manner that supports operational, quality and market imperatives.

Minimum requirements

•    Grade 12.
•    Bachelor of Commerce Degree.
•    Honours- Bachelor of Commerce or Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting.
•    CA (SA) Qualification.
•    Driver’s License: Code B/EB.
•    7 Years Financial Management and Accounting Experience (Completed Articles, CA(SA).
•    3 Years Management experience.
